Statement of Work.

I work mainly in combinations of Raku, earthenware and stoneware ceramic. My work moves between figurative, functional and abstract, reflecting my belief in the spirituality of life, its many forms and expressions and the life journeys it leads us on.

My more recent work is a reflection of both a physical and metaphorical journey; Walking the south west coastal path of England with its rich diversity of sea and landscape, where ancient stone age, Celtic and Christian heritages has helped to form, shape and inform what I do.
My work attempts to combine and hold in tension the spiritual and profoundly physical worlds in which we live and have our being, our experiences of the every day, bringing together a sense of human frailty and the eternal.
